the haiku circle

Founded in 2007 . . .

Haiku Circle is an all-day annual gathering in early June which celebrates and explores nature, poetry, and community.  Held in an outdoor setting on a wild tree farm in Northfield, MA, Haiku Circle offers a variety of nature-themed, writing, and letterpress printing workshops. Writing workshops are typically led by nationally known haiku poets.

Each year Haiku Circle invites select long-recognized and
emerging haiku poets to give live readings. Past readers have
included Peggy Lyles, Tom Clausen, Cor van den Heuvel, Paul
Miller, Michael Ketchek, Carl Patrick, Roberta Beary, Jack Barry, Scott Mason, among others.

Participants also have an opportunity to share their own poetry
during the open-mike time slot.
